Afropunk Atlanta has come and gone, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around what I experienced. With Afropunk being my first festival, this was by far the best thing I've ever experienced. Besides the concerts being crazy amazing, and the tastemakers killing it, you could feel so much love and positivity from everyone. I've personally never been in a space with hundreds of strangers and felt so many good vibes. Of course, it's a celebration of black love, but to also see the white guy and asian girl in front of me at Tyler The Creator's set raising their fist so high because they have love for black people was amazing to me. I just love when all kinds of people can come together and have a good time. It's like you felt safe being around people you didn't even know. Writing about Afropunk Atlanta doesn't do enough justice to explain what it was like being there, but I did get pictures of the fashion that was hard to miss.
